⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY In a high-tech, near-future world, a new type of relationship is being pioneered: the Companion. Iris (Sophie Thatcher) finds herself entangled in a gritty, high-stakes game of manipulation and obsession when she enters a partnership with a charming but deeply unsettling man (Jack Quaid). As the boundaries between love and control dissolve, the film spirals into a pained psychological thriller where nobody is exactly who they seem. It’s a sharp, modern look at the dark side of intimacy and the lengths people go to for a bit of company, wrapped in a sleek, sci-fi aesthetic. THE PROS This is a total win for fans of 'Barbarian' or 'Ex Machina'. It hits an 8 because the tension is maintained with a cold, surgical precision that keeps you guessing until the final frame. Jack Quaid is an absolute banger here; he weaponizes his "nice guy" charisma into something genuinely terrifying and pained.
