⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Darren Aronofsky delivers a high-quality, hallucinogenic nightmare that is essentially a giant allegory for Mother Earth and creation. A woman (Jennifer Lawrence) and her older husband, a famous poet (Javier Bardem), live in a secluded Victorian house that she is meticulously restoring. Their peaceful life is shattered when a mysterious couple (Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer) arrives, followed by an endless, chaotic stream of strangers who begin to dismantle their home. It’s a relentless, claustrophobic descent into madness that starts as a tense home-invasion thriller and ends as a full-blown biblical and environmental fever dream.
