When his archaeologist wife (Serinda Swan) is kidnapped by a terrorist group while working in Morocco, Paxton stops at nothing to get her back. He travels to the region and teams up with a local contact to infiltrate the enemy stronghold. It’s a standard "one-man army" rescue mission that tries to mix gritty political intrigue with high-stakes action, set against the backdrop of the Moroccan desert. THE PROS Gary Dourdan is a total winner in the lead role, bringing a high-quality, brooding intensity to a character that could have easily felt like a cardboard cutout. His performance feels sincere and grounded, which helps carry the film through its more predictable moments. The Moroccan locations are an absolute quality shout; the cinematography captures the vast, honest beauty of the landscape and the intricate architecture of the cities.
