⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 7/10 THE SUMMARY The final chapter of the main Warren saga sees Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return for one last stand against the supernatural. The story kicks off with a chilling 1964 flashback involving a cursed mirror that nearly claims their newborn daughter, Judy, before jumping to 1986. The Warrens are called to West Pittston, Pennsylvania, to investigate the Smurl family haunting—a case involving a two-story home, four daughters, and a demonic entity that doesn't just want to scare them, it wants to tear them apart. As Ed’s health begins to fail, the stakes become deeply personal, forcing the couple to face the reality that this might truly be their "Last Rites." THE PROS Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are, as always, the heart and soul of this franchise; their portrayal of the Warrens remains the most sincere and grounded element of these films. The Smurl family case provides a great "house haunting" foundation that returns the series to its roots, moving away from the more scattered investigations of the previous entry.
