⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARYA slick, cold-blooded espionage thriller tracking a deep-cover CIA operative known as Martian. After spending six long years living under a fake identity in Africa, he gets abruptly pulled back into the real world and stationed at London branch. When his former overseas lover suddenly reappears on the radar, his professional training completely goes out the window, sparking a high-stakes game of paranoia, internal mole hunts, and global political blackmail. THE PROSMichael Fassbender is absolutely outstanding, bringing a quiet, intensely menacing focus to the lead role that keeps you glued to the screen. The production completely avoids the usual over-the-top Hollywood explosion cliches, opting instead for a gritty, realistic, and incredibly smart look at modern intelligence gathering. Supported by heavy hitters like Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere, the dialogue is razor-sharp and captures a fantastic, slow-burning tension that builds beautifully across both seasons. THE CONSBecause the show focuses so heavily on complex psychological warfare and bureaucratic gridlock, the overall pacing can feel a bit sluggish if you are expecting a fast-paced action fest. The intricate web of double-crosses, shifting aliases, and international nuclear physics subplots is so incredibly dense that missing even five minutes of an episode will leave you completely lost in the narrative mud. THE VERDICTAn 8/10. A brilliant, calculated spy drama that treats its audience with proper respect and handles the genre with total maturity.
