The resort’s owner, Mr. König (Dan Stevens), is absolute quality but carries a legendary, sinister vibe that Gretchen can't shake. Soon, she’s plagued by high-stakes bird-like shrieks and a mysterious woman chasing her at night. It’s a high-quality, stylish, and sincere "creature feature" that trades standard jump scares for a legendary sense of biological dread and absolute quality weirdness. THE PROS This earns its 7/10 because Hunter Schafer is a total winner in her first leading horror role, bringing a high-quality and sincere grit to Gretchen.
