Christian Bale stars as a lonely, misunderstood monster who convinces Dr. Euphronius (Annette Bening) to reanimate a murdered young woman named Ida (Jessie Buckley) to be his companion. But when Ida wakes up, she isn’t the submissive mate he expected; instead, she’s a fiery, independent spirit who sparks a radical social movement. The two soon find themselves on a violent, high-stakes crime spree across the country, pursued by a determined detective and a vengeful mob boss in a story that’s part horror, part romance, and part 'Bonnie and Clyde' chaos.
