Beetlejuice 2, is back!.. The ghost with the most is finally returning to the big screen after what feels like an eternity (or perhaps, an afterlife). That’s right, folks, “Beetlejuice 2” is hitting theatre’s on September 4th, and we are beyond excited.

The Maitlands… Are Back From the Dead (Again)?

Thirty-six years have passed in the human world since the events of the original film. The Deetz family is back in Winter River, reeling from the loss of Charles Deetz. Lydia, no longer the quirky goth teen, now grapples with the challenges of motherhood and a rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid. It’s the classic tale: parent struggles to understand their child, child thinks parent is hopelessly out of touch. Only in this case, the parent is Lydia Deetz, and the generational gap is amplified by a whole lot of strange and unusual.

Astrid Unleashes the Chaos

Astrid, ever the inquisitive teenager, stumbles upon the model town in the attic – a relic of the Deetz’s previous otherworldly escapades. And as luck (or perhaps, misfortune) would have it, she accidentally opens the portal to the Afterlife. cue the smoke, the spooky music, and the unmistakable cackle of our favourite bio-exorcist: Beetlejuice.

What Can We Expect from the Ghost with the Most?

• More of Michael Keaton’s Iconic Performance: The original “Beetlejuice” wouldn’t be the same without Michael Keaton’s manic energy and hilarious antics. We’re expecting even more outrageousness, witty one-liners, and fourth-wall-breaking chaos in the sequel.

• A Blend of Nostalgia and Freshness: “Beetlejuice 2” promises to tap into the nostalgia of the original while introducing new characters and storylines. We’re eager to see how the filmmakers balance honouring the past with creating something fresh and surprising.

• An Exploration of Family Dynamics: The sequel seems to delve deeper into family relationships, particularly the complex bond between Lydia and Astrid. It will be interesting to see how the supernatural chaos impacts their already strained relationship.
