Overview

⭐ Insomniacs Rating: 8/10 THE SUMMARY Harry is back for his fourth year, and Hogwarts is playing host to the Triwizard Tournament—a legendary, high-stakes competition between three magic schools. Despite being underage, Harry’s name pops out of the Goblet of Fire, forcing him to face dragons, merpeople, and a terrifying maze. While the rest of the school is obsessed with who’s taking who to the Yule Ball, a dark plot is simmering in the background. It all builds to a graveyard showdown where the "no-nose" bloke finally gets his body back and the series loses its childhood innocence for good. THE PROS This is a win for anyone who likes their magic with a bit more scale. The dragon chase in the first task is epic status—it actually feels like a proper action movie. Brendan Gleeson is a total belter as Mad-Eye Moody, bringing a sincere bit of grit and weirdness to the staff table. It’s highly recommended because it’s the moment the series grows up; the graveyard scene is a celebratory explosion of dread that changes the tone of the whole franchise. Plus, the Yule Ball stuff is punchy and funny, capturing that awkward teenage energy perfectly. THE CONS It earns an 8/10 because the pacing can feel a sincere bit sluggish during the heavy exposition scenes, especially when they’re trying to explain the Crouch family drama. The "Dumbledore asking calmly" scene is a bit of a head-scratcher for book fans, as he basically tackles Harry into a wall. It misses a higher mark because the maze in the third task is a bit of a damp squib compared to the book—it’s just some moving hedges rather than a gauntlet of monsters.
